Decorating Information

Dynamic decorating achieves a powerful impact. Knowing the options available to you, and following these guidelines for artwork preparation, can help assure your decorating makes a lasting impression that's just right for your organization.

Artwork Requirements

Electronic Art

• Platform: MAC /PC.
• File types: Illustrator CS3, CorelDraw X3.
• File formats: Native vector files in .pdf (preferred), .ai, .eps, .ps, .cdr, .svg (other formats may incur additional charges).
• Non-photography elements should be vector with fonts converted to curves.
• Minimum resolution / file format for non-vector files: 300 dpi / .tif.

Art Charges

• Formats that may incur an art charge: .gif, .jpg, .tif. doc, .html, .png, .psd, .ppt.
• Customers will be notified in advance of any additional charges.
• Quotes for art charges are available from our Art Department prior to placing orders.
• Add one day to standard production time for orders with art charges.

Embroidery

To prepare a job for embroidery, art must be digitized.

• Acceptable formats: .dst, .pxf, .pof, .emb, .exp, .psf, .pes, .fmc, .fdr.
• Re-digitizing (new tape) is required for any re-sizing greater than 20%.
• Artwork created for other items may not be suitable for use.
• For color match, please specify Robison-Anton^® thread color number; match will be made as close as possible.

File Compression

• Stuffit (MAC); Winzip (PC).

Transmission

• Art is recommended to be e-mailed as an attachment along with your P.O. to orders@corvest.com. Please include company name and P.O. # in the subject line.
• CD or DVD also acceptedñone disk for each order.
• When sending art, correspondence must include: company name and address, P.O. #, name of sender/contact, e-mail address, phone and fax.

Camera-Ready Art

• We accept mailed in “camera-ready art”; this format is subject to review and may incur an art charge. Art must be flat, hi-resolution, black and white line art, to size.
• Art must be color-separated with proper registration marks; one piece for each color.
• To have artwork returned, you must include an addressed return envelope with proper postage with your request. Artwork will be retained for 13-months, then discarded.

Standard Fonts

• All fonts must be converted to outlines (curves) to avoid font substitutions.
• If typesetting is required, indicate layout instructions (centered, flush left/right, all caps, upper/lower case, etc.) or art will be prepared for best appearance/printing on item. E-proof recommended when typesetting. Please specify font:
  • Plain: Arial, Avant Garde, Franklin Gothic, Helvetica.
  • Serif: Benguiat, Cooper Black, Souvenir, Times Roman.
  • Script: Brush Script, Lucida Calligraphy, Monotype Corsiva, Viner Hand.
  • Specialty: Comic Sans, Curlz MT, Ravie, College.

Miscellaneous

• Unless otherwise specified, artwork will be maximized to fit the standard decoration size and placed in the standard decoration area.
• Unless otherwise stated on the order, we reserve the right to stack copy to achieve the best appearance for your imprint.
• Artwork will be held on file for 13 months. Repeat orders submitted after that time will require new artwork and set-up charges as applicable.
• Orders requesting custom imprints without acceptable artwork will NOT be eligible for special rush production services.

Decorating Methods & Related Charges

Screen Printing & Pad Printing (Available on most Corvest Family products)

All pricing includes a 1-color, 1-location imprint, unless otherwise specified. Set-up/screen charges are not included. Additional charges may apply for non-standard colors.

Standard Imprint Colors

The below color swatches are provided for reference only. Due to inconsistencies in computer monitors, these swatches should not be relied upon for accurate color matching. Non-standard colors: add $50.00(G) for orders of specified catalog quantity. Please submit Pantone Color Standard number or color sample on coated stock when ordering/re-ordering non-standard colors.

PrismPrint™ (Available on select Toppers and It’s All Greek To Me products)

Full color, full detail imprints! PrismPrint is a high-tech process that allows complex designs and photographic images to be applied to cloth items. Artwork is screen printed onto a unique paper using specialized plastisol inks. The design is then transferred to cloth items such as bags, totes, caps and aprons using heat and pressure. The result is a vibrant, full-color design that can't be achieved using traditional screen printing.

PrismPrint is available on most fabrics including nylon, cotton, polyester and poly/cotton blends and is especially recommended for non-woven polypropylene. All PrismPrint pricing includes a 1-location imprint including FREE set-up, unless otherwise specified. For PMS color matching, please inquire.

Minimum Line Weight: 2 pt.

Additional Location Run Charges

• Stuffed Animal Accessories: add $0.85(G) per unit / location
• Caps: add $2.00(G) per unit / location
• All other products: add $ 1.10(G) per unit / location
